Hanon is my Guru

I sometimes forget when I start to spin out of control with too much of everything, that the Hanon book of scales and exercises is the best meditation to calm me down, and reinspire me to again take up the daily practice of PIANO - the truest form of meditation i know of.
Today I tried, before even turning on the computer (that procrastinating electronic time suck of trouble shooting inertia) to sit down at the Yamaha P80, plug it into the stereo, turn it on, and start at exercise one at the slowest metronomic speed recommended (60 bps). Since it was early, my fingers were stiff, but soon, they were working nimbly, yet slow, and the speed of the exercise was perfect to let my mind dribble over thoughts regarding what I am doing and want to do right now with my music.

'And the days are not full enough'

And the days are not full enough

And the nights are not full enough
And life slips by like a field mouse
                Not shaking the grass.

TOO MUCH IS NEVER ENOUGH!

On "Democracy" spreading all over

America: "Democracy for the Few".
That was the name of the textbook for my Political Science class at Normandale Community College (FUCK THE U OF M THEY WOULDN'T ACCEPT ME!).
Only at a community college in Bloomington, MN can you get an education on Political Science from an avowed Marxist teacher (and he meant it, man!).
